'Pratibha Sinchana'-2025
St Mary's English School celebrated Prathibha Sinchana, the annual 'St Mary's Talent Show & Fun Fair 2025', on November 15, 2025. The event was graced by the presence of Ms Remona Evatte Pereira, a Guinness World Record holder for the longest continuous Bharatanatyam performance, as the Chief Guest. The dignitaries on the stage included Correspondent V Rev Fr Charles Menezes, Principal Rev Fr Vijay Dsouza, Vice Principal Ms Rita Quadros, Assistant Parish Priest Rev Fr Ashwin Aranha, Mr Maxim D'souza (Vice President, Parish Pastoral Council), Head Boy Snehal S Hegde, and Head Girl Miss Navya R Shetty. The event was inaugurated by unveiling a magnificent replica art of Yakshagana, representing the vibrant cultural heritage of coastal Karnataka, meticulously crafted and designed by art teacher Mr Jagadish Acharya.
The outstanding student achievers in sports, dance, art, music, and literature were felicitated by the dignitaries. Two teachers, Mr Vinaya Suvarna S and Ms Amratha Shetty were honored for their special achievements. The Chief Guest, Ms Remona Pereira, was also honored for her milestone achievements in classical dance. The certificate of felicitation was read by Ms Shruthi Dsouza.
In her inspirational message, Ms Remona Pereira appealed to parents to be supportive in fostering their children's talents. She emphasized the need for consistent efforts and passion in realizing life's goals and dreams. The Correspondent, in his presidential address, stressed the role of dedication and sacrifice in achieving success. The Vice Principal, Ms Rita Quadros delivered the note of gratitude.
The talent show featured captivating cultural performances by students and teachers. Ms Remona Evatte Pereira mesmerized the audience with her graceful Bharatanatyam performance. Ms Helen and Ms Winnifred engaged the audience with spot games. The formal ceremony was compered by Ms Rajashree S Nayak and Ms Dapsy Vaz, while Ms Amrutha, Ms Poornima Amin, Ms Venilda, and Ms Seema anchored the cultural program. The fun fair offered a variety of dishes and fun-filled games to students, parents, and alumni making it a joyous day for all.
